The biggest food fair of Turkey, International Food Products and Processing Technologies Exhibition.GIDA is organized with the support of Ministry of Agriculture and Federation of Food & Drink Industry Associations of Turkey (TGDF). The fair hosted 38.485 visitors in total, 2.219 of which were internationallast year. GIDA 2008 was supported by DTM (Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade) with hosted buyer program and by KOSGEB (Small and Medium Size Industry Development Organization) in providing exhibitors.There was again a high participation at GIDA 2008, aiming at increasing commercial and strategic collaborations. Among the exhibitors of the show were 12 companies from the Puglia region of Italy led by two consortiums and 10 Susta Association member companies from The USA. Also Sri Lanka Tea Board and Malaysia Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers exhibited at GIDA 2008 along with companies from Singapore, Syria, Iran and China.Gıda 2008 was organized at an area of 60.000 m².
