| Descriptions: |
The National Job Fair & Training Expo is Canada's most important and most influential multi-sector recruitment event and Ontario's leading recruitment event open to the general public. The role of this fair is to support and enhance exhibitors’ recruitment efforts, either for students or employees, through the dynamism and professionalism that has distinguished the fair over the last 7 years. Participating is a positive experience and a sound investment.
Over 700 recruiters, admissions officer, career specialists and HR professionals—more than 150 exhibitors in the last four events—offer thousands of employment, education, training and career opportunities from over 80 sectors to the 12,000 to 14,000 visitors, the largest targeted attendance in the field in the province of Ontario, establishing The National Job Fair & Training Expo as Canada's largest and most comprehensive recruitment event for adult candidates.
The International Job Fair & Training Expo is made of four main pavilions and the Training & Education Pavilion is dedicated to education and training facilities offering education programmes to visitors, as well as career training, skills development and career exploration/change opportunities. The Pavilion welcomes colleges, universities, training schools, governmental ministries/agencies/organizations, sector councils, industry professional bodies/associations and community services organizations related to education and training. An average of 60% to 70% of the visitors are interested to take an education programme and/or a training programme to increase their chances to find a job or to start a new career.
Study abroad and work abroad are two new service offered at the fair. To facilitate the participation of international participants, a partnership has been developed in August 2009 with Studycentral Ltd, based in UK, to facilitate the participation of international educational and training facilities from Europe.
